Jétsunma Khandro Ten’dzin Drölkar is one of the great yoginis of the Nyingma tradition. She is a disciple of Kyabjé Künzang Dorje Rinpoche and a personal friend of both Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen. In this photograph, she is wearing the gomtag which Ngak’chang Rinpoche gave her as a present in 1993 when they met in McLeod Ganj. Ngak’chang Rinpoche first met Khandro Ten’dzin Drölkar in 1975 when he was studying the Mahayoga rituals of Tröma Nakmo with her sangyab Yeshé Dorje Rinpoche. Khandro Ten’dzin Drölkar is a master of the innermost phases of the Tröma Nakmo gTérma of His Holiness Düd’jom Rinpoche. She accompanied Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Gyaltsen Rinpoche on their pilgrimage to Tso Pema in 1981 to attend the Padmasambhava eight manifestation gar’cham in which Kyabjé Künzang Dorje Rinpoche presided in the costume of Padmasambhava.
