Khandro Déchen and Ngak’chang Rinpoche with Jétsunma Khandro Ten’dzin Drölkar at ‘Tsogyel Lhakhang’ a Nyingma retreat place near the Padmasambhava caves at Yang-lé-shöd. Jétsunma Khandro Ten’dzin Drölkar is a Nyingma Dzogchen yogini who has completed over 13 years of solitary retreats. She is a disciple of Kyabjé Künzang Dorje Rinpoche and a personal friend of Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen.
In 1981 Ngak’chang Rinpoche made a pilgrimage to Tso Pema with Jétsunma Khandro Ten’dzin Drölkar and his friend Gyaltsen Rinpoche when they visited with Kyabjé Künzang Dorje Rinpoche and Lama Könchog Rinpoche (who was at that time the abbot of the Nyingma Gompa at Tso Pema).
Jétsunma Khandro Ten’dzin Drölkar lived for many years in McLeod Ganj, but now lives in Nepal where she is able to spend her life in continual ‘open retreat’. On the occasion of the 1995 Confederate Sanghas of Aro apprentice pilgrimage, Jétsunma Khandro Ten’dzin Drölkar gave an audience and bestowed blessings for the entire apprentice group. She was delighted to meet with the apprentices and assured them she would remember them all in her practice.
